State Fair Men's Amateur Championship 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM The State Fair Men's Amateur Championship is a 54-hole stroke play tournament with 18 holes played each day. After 36 holes, the field will be cut after 36 holes to the low 45 players and ties. Ties for the championship title will be settled via a "sudden victory" playoff, starting from the first tee immediately upon the conclusion of the final round of play.

Rules
Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf as currently approved by the USGA. The pace of play for all SFC rounds is 4 hours and 40 minutes. The SFC Pace of Play will be strictly enforced in a similar manner as the current procedures enacted by the USGA. Notice to Competitors, Local Rules and Tournament Conditions will be provided by email at the close of entries. The Tournament Committee requires that all players wear non-metal spikes. Golf shorts of appropriate length are permitted. The Committee reserves the right to reject an entry at any time before or after the start of tournament play. Any player engaging in unbecoming or unsportsmanlike conduct is subject to disqualification. The Committee reserves the right to alter the conditions and schedules herein. Distance-only measuring devices are permitted.

Carts and Caddies
Any SFC contestant may utilize a cart without limitation or restriction during any round of the Championship at the contestant's expense. Carts not rented or assigned to a particular contestant may be available to spectators and others at the discretion of Haggin Oaks at such a person's expense, but no assurance of such availability is made by the SFC. Those seeking a spectator cart should contact the course pro shop for cart availability prior to arriving at the course. Players may carry their own bags or provide their own caddies. Caddies represent the player and therefore must follow the Championship dress and rules of conduct.

Prizes
The Champion receives a Crystal trophy, a merchandise gift card, and a 10-year SFC exemption. The runner-up receives a Crystal trophy, a merchandise gift card, and a 10-year SFC exemption. The top 20 finishers (plus ties) receive a merchandise gift card and exemptions as detailed on the Eligibility page. For tee prizes, all players returning a 54-hole score will receive a merchandise gift card.

Ranking Points
The SFC is a points event in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com World Ranking, and the Scratch Players World Amateur Ranking (SPWAR). For Northern California players, the SFC is a Northern California Golf Association.

26th State Fair Women's Championship 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM The 26th State Fair Women's Championship will be contested at Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course, Sacramento, CA on September 4 and 5, 2021.

The tournament is open to all women amateur golfers age 18 or older by September 4, 2021, with an established World Handicap System (WHS) Index of 36.4 or less, members of a college golf team, junior girls ages 14-18 who placed in the top three in the 2021 SGC City or County Women’s Tournaments scratch flight, the top three junior girls in the 14- 18 Division of the 2020 State Fair Junior Championship the top three junior girls in any of the 2021 SGC Junior Championships Age 14-18 Division, the top three in the 2020 Women's State Fair Tournament's scratch flight, or by special invitation.

August 25, 2021, is the deadline – no refunds after this date. Please call Barbara Conerly, Tournament Director (916-428-1377) regarding cancellations or refund requests prior to the deadline. There will be a $10 administrative fee for any withdrawals for online registration.

Handicaps will be based on August 15, 2021 indexes.

The Championship Flight contestants must have an index of 6.6 or less and will play at scratch from the back (Blue) tees. The Net Handicap Flight(s) will play using handicaps from the forward (Black) tees. Ties for the overall low gross, overall low net will be decided by a hole-by-hole sudden-death playoff. All other ties will be decided based on the USGA recommended method of matching scorecards.

Entry fees are $140 per person. The entry fee includes two (2) days of green fees and awards (Power Cart Not Included).

25th annual California State Fair Senior Champions 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM The 25th annual California State Fair Senior Championship and 12th annual California State Fair Super Senior Championship will be contested on Saturday and Sunday, September 4 and 5, 2021 at Mather Golf Course.

The tournament is played at scratch and is open to male amateur golfers 55 and older with a current handicap index of 9.4 or less (Senior) and 65 and older with an index of 11.4 and less (Super Senior). The Super Senior division will also include a Legends flight for ages 75 and above.

The entry fee is $175 and includes two days of green fees, range balls, and awards (power carts not included).

The competition will be stroke play over 36 holes (18 holes each day). Seniors will play the Bomber (black) tees and the Super Seniors with play the Raptor (blue) tees. If COVID-19 protocols permit, a tie for the championship (Senior or Super Senior) will be resolved with a playoff.

The entry deadline is August 27, 2021. There will be no refunds after this date. Withdrawals prior to the entry deadline will be assessed a $10 cancellation fee.
