| 9th Annual Short Par 4 Fall Classic | 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM | The 9th Annual Short Par 4 Fall Classic, operated by Golf Tourism Solutions, is hosted by the best golf courses along the Grand Strand. Players competing over 72 holes with fun formats every day. There is no better way to extend your 2022 golf season than participating in this great event. Please review the General Information Web Page for information regarding deadlines, refunds and cancellation policies. Registration is limited, and will be determined on a first come, first serve basis. Entry Fee is $419 per player through September 23rd at which time entry will be $469. By submitting payment, you agree to all terms and conditions of the tournament. Entry deadline is October 28th or until the tournament has reached 672 participants. All participants are required to maintain a GHIN/WHS approved handicap to be eligible to win prizes. All participants will utilize their lowest 12 month index for competition. Handicaps are subject to review for accuracy and may be adjusted or deemed ineligible for prizing at any time for any reason, including for exceptional scores, by the tournament committee without refund of entry fee. Handicap deadline days are important to remember! The tournament committee will request your handicap information in early November. Failure to comply can result in being deemed ineligible for prizes. Furthermore, it is recommended all participants have a GHIN/WHS handicap established as soon as possible if not already attained upon registration. If you do not keep a handicap, please contact tournament staff and we will advise you of your best solution. The Fall Classic is a two-person team event. The daily formats are: Round 1 – Best Ball Round 2 – Texas Scramble (Combined Score) Round 3 – Best Ball Round 4 – Scramble / “Captain’s Choice” The tournament will be scored with net results using a percentage of each player’s handicap. Top finishers in each flight will receive Short Par 4 Gift Cards with the following values per player: 1st Place – $300 2nd Place – $150 3rd Place – $75 * Based on full flights of 25 teams per flight Men Under 60: 6,000 – 6,500 yards* Men 60 – 69: 5,500 – 6,000 yards* Men 70+: 5,000 – 5,500 yards (or shortest rated for Men)* Ladies: 4,500 – 5,000 yards* *All distances listed are guidelines and are subject to changes The USGA Rules of Golf will govern play. Local rules at each course will apply. The Tournament Committee will resolve all disputes regarding every aspect of tournament play. No refunds or exchanges will be made if the tournament is canceled or shortened due to weather or nature. The Fall Classic will refund any participant that may cancel: between their date of entry and end of the day on October 14, 2022 minus a $45 cancellation fee. between October 15, 2022 and October 28, 2022 minus a $90 cancellation fee. between October 29, 2022 and November 11, 2022 minus a $180 cancellation fee. After November 11, 2022 participants will not be refunded regardless of circumstance. Players requesting their stand bag to be shipped pre-tournament will have their cancel fee above is increased by $90/per person. No stand bags may be returned or be granted fee waivers once bag has shipped. Any cancellations must be in writing and sent to the Tournament staff either by email or by direct mail. Monday, November 14, 2022 Tournament Round 1 – Best Ball Shotgun start at 9:00AM Each member will play their own ball and the lowest score of the two team members will be recorded as the score for that hole. Each member will use 80% of their tournament handicap. Tuesday, November 15, 2022 Tournament Round 2 – Texas Scramble (Combined Score) Shotgun start at 9:00AM Each team member will play their own ball off the tee. The team will then select a drive and play their own ball into the hole from there. Both scores of the two team members will be recorded as the score for that hole. Each member will use 70% of their tournament handicap. Wednesday, November 16, 2022 Tournament Round 3 – Best Ball Shotgun start at 9:00AM Each member will play their own ball and the lowest score of the two team members will be recorded as the score for that hole. Each member will use 80% of their tournament handicap. Thursday, November 17, 2022 Tournament Round 4 – Scramble / “Captain’s Choice” Shotgun start at 9:00AM Each team member will play their own ball off the tee. The team will then select a drive and both play their next shots from that position. They will continue this format until the ball is holed. Teams will use 25% of their combined tournament handicap. Awards Lunch Post round lunch available at the golf course immediately following your round Luncheon and (2) drink tickets per person, valid for domestic beer/wine, tea, coffee Awards Presentation following play, optional attendance (Prizes and awards can be mailed to player.). Random Drawing Prizes (Prizes and awards can be mailed to player.) Following play, awards will be distributed to the top 3 teams in each flight. You do not have to be present to win.
