The BC Senior Men's Championship is open to male players aged 55 and older as of the first day of the Canadian
Senior Men's Championship - (September 10th, 2019). The Super-Senior Championship is open to players aged
65 and older. Maximum field size is 156 players. Each Championship is 54-hole gross stroke play (NO CUT).
Players will be competing in all events in which they are age eligible.
The Zone Team Championship is held concurrently with the first and second rounds of the Championship. Four
person zone teams are named by each zone prior to the start of the tournament. The zone team competition
uses the low 3 of 4 scores each day.
Better-Ball Competition - Players may make up their own 2-man teams from the field. Teams wishing to
participate must identify themselves before play begins on day 1. This championship is a best ball conducted
over 54 holes.
ENTRY PRIORITY:
Maximum field 156 players: Players who were in the top 60 in the prior year's championship or have a verifiable
handicap factor of 8.0 or less will be processed directly into the field upon receipt of entry up until 1 month
prior to the championship start date. At that point, all entries which have been WAIT-LISTED or PENDING will be
reviewed and processed based on handicap factor (maximum factor 18.0). If the event is not fully subscribed,
registration will continue until 2 weeks prior to the championship.

QUOTAS TO NATIONALS:
The Canadian Senior Men’s Championship is to be contested at Cedar Brae Golf Club, Scarborough, Ontario.
Players wishing to attend this championship must be previously exempt or qualify for a quota from the
Provincial association.
British Columbia Golf has a total 22 quotas to nationals, of which the top 13 and ties from the Provincial Senior
who meet eligibility requirements will be eligible to receive a quota. Two spots will be allocated to players aged
65 on date of national championship. The balance of the quota spots will be issued at the discretion of the selection committee. Some of these may be issued in advance of our provincial championship.
If you wish to be considered for a quota, please confirm your intent by completing the quota request form (link
below). You may submit this request at any time but no later than noon July 29th
.
Team to Nationals – Player to represent the team may be selected in part, based on play in this championship.

Prestige Vernon Lodge and Prestige Hotel are the host hotels for this championship. The preferred rate is
$129.95 plus tax per night. Guest may call each hotel directly and ask for the BC Senior Men’s Championship
2019 rate.
