| 2016 Calabash Cup | 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM | The Calabash Cup is open to EVERYONE! Two-Person Team, 54-Hole competition of: Tournament Round 1, July 15 Shotgun start at 1:00 PM Format – Best Ball Tournament Round 2, July 16 Shotgun start at 8:30 AM Format – Combined Team Net Tournament Round 3, July 17 Shotgun start at 8:00 AM Format – Texas Scramble The tournament will be conducted using the USGA Slope Handicap System. Entrants’ handicap indexes will be used to establish a daily handicap based on the USGA slope rating of the course played. Course rating adjustments will be subtracted for those players playing a forward/senior set of tees. For more information, please review the USGA policy on “competitions from different sets of tees.” This is different from what most participants are familiar with in the Myrtle Beach World Amateur. Participants will submit their USGA Handicap or international equivalent via electronic form beginning on July 1, 2016. Tournament staff will use that factor to flight each player will be based on that information. If a participant’s handicap index for any reason is not an accurate reflection of the participants playing ability, it is THEIR responsibility to notify tournament officials prior to the event. A valid USGA handicap reflects all golf scores regardless of the course or conditions (as long as the round was played under the Rules of Golf), and must be formulated according to the guidelines established by the USGA. Any unusual posting procedures, such as ceasing to post scores for a period leading up to the event, may be grounds for adjustments or disqualification. The Handicap Committee reserves the right to adjust a participant’s index prior to or during the event. All participants will have Course Handicaps calculated using their 12-month low Handicap Index. All participants are required to notify a tournament official of any handicap changes prior to the event and after verification forms are returned. $239 USD Per Player Early entry deadline is June 10, 2016 – price will increase to $259 at that time Entry deadline is June 30, 2016 or when the limit of 200 players have entered Guests are welcome to attend the Friday Night and Sunday afternoon function for $40/pp total. This fee covers both events and cannot be paid individually. | 4TH ANNUAL DRUIDS GLEN AMATUER | 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM | SATURDAY JULY 16TH AND SUNDAY JULY 17TH TOURNAMENT INFORMATION 36 HOLE MEDAL PLAY ENTRY FEE- $200 $10,000 IN PRIZES (Based on full field of 132 Players) Competition: 36 holes of medal play. Tee Times starting at 7:30 AM both days.. Entry Fee: The $200 entry fee will include two rounds of golf, range balls, two meals, and prize fund. A special $25 cart rate will be available for the weekend for those needing the use of a power cart. Entries are due by Monday July 11th. Handicap: The tournament is open to all players, and all players must have an established USGA handicap. The tournament committee reserves the right to refuse any amateur entry or to adjust any handicap index. All committee decisions are final. Payouts: Total tournament payout based on a full field of 132 golfers will be $10,000.00. We will be awarding an overall top gross and overall top net prize. We will also be awarding top gross and top net winners in each flight. All payouts will be in the form of Druids Glen Gift Cards. Pairings & Tee Times: Tee times start at 7:30 AM both days. We will honor pairing requests for Saturday’s round. Sundays start times will depend on your gross score and what flight you are in. Championship Flight will tee off last on Sunday. Special Practice Round Deals: Monday-Thurs. July 11-14th from 11am-3pm, $30 Green Fees, and Friday July 15th from 11am-3 PM $35 Green Fees. You can play as many practice rounds as you are able to at those rates during those times. Inform Druids Glen Staff when you check in to receive the discount. |
